Our first week in Paradise

After packing up the Ballard Apartment and a quick stay at Eric's folks - we were on our way! The drive was relatively easy and so was the unpacking - Thanks to Eric's dad. We ate too many meals out but made a point to walk every evening along the Boise River. Now we are settling in and really enjoying the sunshine and slower pace.

We spent an 80-degree day downtown (free parking on weekends) and took a drive up to Bogus Basin today. The foothills are green and we can't wait to get out there and hike or ride.

Eric's Solo Voyage to Boise

Eric drove himself to and from Boise this week to sign our lease and get the lay of the land. He came back with measurements and photos of every corner of our new apartment. He has also mapped out the closest restaurants, bars, and grocery stores - most within walking distance. In other news, I took the plunge and found out that I will be able to work from home starting May 1st. I'm looking forward to deleting my instant messenger profile and enjoying more a more reasonable work/life balance.
